An empty shop on Radford Street, originally 2 properties, will be refurbished back into two retail units including a new training academy.
New tenant Erica Turley sent A Little Bit of Stone her plans for the former Mirella shop which moved last year to the former NatWest Bank.
Erica is a creative nail artist, educator, and blogger for Europe’s leading industry journal, Scratch Magazine.
Erica is part of a team of multi-award winning nail artists and educators with the Hazel Dixon Academy, who won UK’s Winning Nail Team of the Year 2018, and they hope to retain their title this year.
Once a nurse and health visitor, whilst on a career break, Erica found herself enjoying painting her own nails, and before she knew it she started to train to do it professionally. Her business developed rapidly and within just months she found herself invited to hold live seminars on stage at the London Excel and Manchester Central, being asked to do product reviews, and then she entered the world of education. Erica will also be taking part in the competition arena in both the UK and the US next year.
Erica lives in Stone and has wanted nothing more but to have her academy in her own town. Students from all over the UK come to train with Erica, from complete beginners to advanced technicians. Erica is extremely proud to show her students and followers her home town and feels it has everything that’s needed for visitors from accommodation to amazing eatery’s.
Not only will 5 Radford Street be a teaching academy, but it will also be a retail outlet for the needs of technicians and furthermore, it will also be the first UK outlet to stock Hazel Dixon Professional Systems along with other brands.
The refurbishment of 5 Radford Street is published online in Scratch Magazine by Erica on a fortnightly basis, and you are all welcome to follow the progress!
