The building that housed the former NatWest bank in Granville Square has been given a new lease of life by an independent estate agency.
Austin & Roe are a recently formed team with up to 100 years experience between them; coming together to focus on Sales & Lettings with Stone at the heart of their endeavours.
Directors Samantha Austin and Maggie Fitzpatrick met while working at another local estate agents and soon discovered a mutual dream of creating their own, independent estate agents. Samantha says:
Myself and Maggie decided we wanted an independent touch as lots of smaller independents were now being bought out by larger corporates, we wanted to focus more on customer service. And create a nice environment for our clients and our staff. Not focusing on targets, focusing on a professional friendly service
Along with Maggie (Director – Lettings Property manger), and Samantha (Director – Lettings/Sales), the team comprises Jill Austin (Sales Valuer / Negotiator), Mary Webster (Senior Sales Negotiator), Michelle Latham (Senior Sales Negotiator), and Jason Davey (Independent Mortgage Advisor), along with property developer Andrew Roe, who bought the NatWest building.
Samantha started her journey as an Estate Agent at 19 years old and worked for five years at Lichfield & Sutton Coldfield before changing pace & moving to London, including a stint working in a Tower Bridge office. Having learnt valuable skills & gained a recognised accreditation in Estate Agency, achieving the qualification in MARLA (Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents), Samantha made the move back to Staffordshire 2 years ago. At this point, she met Maggie, and the road to their dream began.

Maggie, the self-professed “Granny” of the team, has chalked up 25 years of experience in the trade, with expertise in ensuring the general maintenance of managed properties is performed to a high standard, working closely with a trusted network of local contractors.
Maggie says ” Several years ago I had the privilege of meeting Samantha while working together at a previous employer. We both share the same enthusiasm and passion for delivering exceptional service to our customers, and we work so well together I now consider Samantha family.”
The agency is open seven days a week, 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm Saturday, and 10am – 3pm Sunday. For the first two months of opening, January & February, they will be offering a sales fee of 0.75% with free detailed video tours. Customers will also have access to an online log in account to keep track of updates.
