EU referendum battle bus heads for Stone

Have Your Say battle bus
Nikki Sinclaire wants a referendum on Britain's EU membership

Independent West Midlands MEP Nikki Sinclaire is sending her ‘Have Your Say’ EU referendum battle bus to Stone on Friday 20th May.

Nikki aims to visit 50 locations in the West Midlands by July and has visited over 20 since January to collect signatures for her campaign to hold a referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union.

She said: “European Law is rarely conducive or indeed relevant to British industry or infrastructure. The EU takes almost £50 million a day of our money for the privilege of belonging – money better spent in this country, where we need it most – on our hospitals, on our schools and in supporting our pensioners. When will the political elite realise that Britain cannot afford to remain in this Parliament?”

Although Nikki will not be attending herself, her team of advisers will be in Market Square between 10am and 4pm collecting signatures and answering questions.

What do you think of the campaign? Will you be signing the petition? Post a comment below…

We already have signed it. Do your research! We area in no doubt the people of the UK should have a vote on wether or not 48 million + per day would be better spent at home. Besides which individuals under 53 ever had a vote on Lisbon and who the hell is van rumpy anyway. Go Nikki! #No2Eu #Yes2Europe

*sigh* when will people learn that the EU isn’t this big bad place that wants to screw over the UK. Yes, some EU laws don’t/won’t work in the UK. The same way most UK laws passed by parliament don’t/won’t work. Afterall the public vote in the MP’s and we don’t HAVE to have any EU law in our own.

It’s nice to see someone who knows what they’re on about for a change rather than just slating the EU with a load of unfounded claims!

      I agree totally Nicholas.
