Got an idea for a great event to be held in one of Stone’s parks? Then Stafford Borough Council would love to hear from you.
Stafford Borough Council is looking to promote this year’s Love Parks Week to local organisations and groups who are interested in organising their own events and activities in the borough’s parks during Love Parks Week in the summer. Activities already planned include ‘Big’ picnics, face painting and Punch and Judy shows.
Local community groups, businesses and charities who are passionate about parks in the area should contact the borough council on 01785 619514 if they have their own ideas of events or activities for this year’s Love Parks Week, or email jboulton@staffordbc.gov.uk
Love Parks Week is a nationwide event organised by Keep Britain Tidy and raises awareness of the importance of parks and green spaces. It takes place from 24th July to 2nd August.
Cabinet Member for Leisure, Councillor Mike Smith, said; “We are lucky to have so many wonderful parks and green spaces to enjoy in Stafford Borough which are especially popular when the warm weather comes. Love Parks Week is a great chance to get children out of the house and into the fresh air and experience these great parks.”
A full list of activities and locations during Love Parks Week will be available on the borough council’s website closer to the event.
We have a few ideas of our own! If you do too, get in touch and we’ll see if we can work together. Email parks@alittlebitofstone.com
