The Forest Live team has confirmed that Fatboy Slim will bring his outdoor show to the venue on Thursday 25 June 2026, placing the Staffordshire forest firmly on the map for the series’ twenty fifth anniversary year.

Only half an hour from Stone, the Cannock Chase date is expected to be one of the most in-demand stops. The Forest Live events usually draw crowds from across the Midlands, helped by easy parking and a setting that feels far removed from the usual city venues.

A major booking for the forest site

Norman Cook, known the world over as Fatboy Slim, has spent four decades shaping dance music. His work through the 1990s and 2000s blended funk, hip-hop, house and rock, and as a former Brighton resident – we can’t wait to see what he brings to the forest.

This latest announcement comes during his fortieth anniversary year. Cook recently marked the milestone with an illustrated book called It Ain’t Over Till the Fatboy Sings, where he gathered items and stories from his time in music, from pre Housemartins days through Beats International, Freak Power and eventually Fatboy Slim.

He also reached another personal landmark earlier this year when he played his hundredth Glastonbury set, a record that few performers come close to matching.

Forest Live turns twenty five

The 2026 concert series will celebrate a quarter century of Forest Live events. The shows are run by Forestry England with promoter Cuffe and Taylor, and are known for mixing major acts with outdoor spaces that feel more relaxed than the usual touring circuit.

Cannock Chase is joined by Delamere Forest, High Lodge in Thetford and Westonbirt Arboretum on next summer’s schedule. Each venue sits within woodland that Forestry England manages all year round, and the income from the concerts helps fund conservation work, maintain footpaths and support tree planting. In the last financial year they planted around seven point four million trees and recorded more than three hundred million visits to their sites.

The Forest Live series has now welcomed over two million gig goers since it began, and regular attendees often say the atmosphere feels different from traditional stadium events.
