Festival chairman Richard Stevens said: “While it’s great news that the company has been restored to the register it’s been business as usual for us in terms of the planning of the festival. Following the success of last year’s event we’ve been inundated by requests from exhibitors old and new to join us in 2012 and we’re determined that once again this year’s festival will be the biggest and best yet.”

In addition to the festival Farmers’ Market, gourmet marquee, cookery demonstrations and beer festival there are a host of new attractions being planned for this year’s event, which runs from 5th to 7th October. As usual, Stone’s pubs, bars and restaurants are gearing up to promote their own offers and events to the visitors the festival brings into town, not only on festival weekend but throughout the run-up week.
