Is that old teapot worth a small fortune? Maybe Grandma’s painting could be cause for celebration? If you’ve ever wondered whether that trinket gathering dust could be worth something, now is your chance to find out.
Visit stately Sandone Hall this Thursday 8th March for the first in a series of regular free antique valuation days held by Staffordshire auction house Cuttlestones.
Everything from watches and jewellery to silver and paintings, medals and militaria, books, ceramics, sporting memorabilia, paintings, furniture – and pretty much anything in between – is welcome for assessment, with auctioneer and valuer Dave Eglington joined by jewellery specialist David Spencer of Eccleshall’s Spencer the Jeweller to give his expert opinion.
Auctioneer Dave Eglington says: “We’re really excited to have the chance to host valuation days at Sandon Hall – there couldn’t be a more fitting backdrop to value antiques! Whatever items you are curious to discover more about bring them along – we’ll provide a professional, honest appraisal and there’s absolutely no obligation to sell at auction. We always love seeing what comes through the door on public valuation days – we’ve had some real surprises in the past!”
The first valuation day will take place on Thursday 8th March between 11 am and 3 pm, followed by sessions on May 3rd, July 12th, September 13th and November 8th. Valuations are free of charge, but you can book a space at www.sandonhall.co.uk. Cream teas will also be on offer at £7.95pp – advance booking for these is essential, again via the website or by calling 01889 508 004.
