To have been put forward for the award by my own team gives me great pride to have worked with so many caring and considerate people. Chief Fire Officer Becci Bryant said: “I am delighted to say we had an exceptional selection of nominees for my first year as chief. We have an incredibly dedicated and hard-working team which is made up of operational firefighters, support staff and volunteers, and we are proud of the excellent work that they carry out on a daily basis.

“It was a difficult task to shortlist the winners as the standard was again very high and each member of the team plays a vital role in delivering the first-class service that the communities of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent expect and deserve. However, the people who have been recognised really have gone the extra mile and I am delighted to award them, on behalf of Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service.”
