Stone firefighters turned their hoses on to the town’s grimy motors instead of fires as they held a charity car wash.
The car wash was held on Saturday 24th March at Stone fire station on The Filleybrooks, with all proceeds on the day going to the Firefighters Charity.
Fire service mascot Welephant was on hand and children had a look inside a fire engine. Local people were also told about getting a free home safety fire check.
Firefighter Kyle Brookes said: “We’d like to thank everyone who came to Stone fire station to get their cars washed and kindly donated to the Firefighters Charity. Their support was much appreciated. We managed to raise £308.”
Thanks to Kyle for the pictures!

Ha! You’re right Jon. That’s what I call a pressure wash 😉
