First Advent Window brings Joy To The World!

Stone library
Pupils from Walton Priory Middle School joined in with the carol

The first of Stone’s Advent windows was opened at the library on 1st December by town mayor Mike Shaw and wife Sue.

Pupils from Walton Priory Middle School were joined by a healthy crowd to see the first window unveiled and to sing the first carol, Joy To The World. Stone Town Band provided lovely music for the occasion, as well as entertaining farmers’ market shoppers for much of the day.

A different window will be opened each day at 11am until Christmas Eve, when there will be an Advent Window carol walk through the town, ending with the final window being opened at Christ Church. Click HERE to see the full list of Advent Windows, or have a look at the map below.

If you go along to any of the Advent Window openings this month, please send your photographs to christmas@alittlebitofstone.com or share via Facebook (www.facebook.com/alittlebitofstone) or Twitter (www.twitter.com/bitofstone). I run A Little Bit of Stone on top of my full-time job, so I can only make weekend openings unfortunately. Many thanks, Jamie

Thank you so much to everyone for making our first ever Advent Window a success. The children here at Walton Priory worked so hard on it and really enjoyed themselves.
