Two years in the making, Moddershall Oaks has officially opened its new luxury Woodland Pods, introducing a unique, overnight experience for guests.
This exciting expansion brings 14 beautifully designed pods to the award-winning spa retreat, offering privacy and comfort for guests in a natural environment.
To mark the occasion, Moddershall Oaks were pleased to welcome VIP guests, including Jenny Barron, the new Mayor of Stafford Borough and Charlotte Cain of Visit Staffordshire, to an exclusive launch event on Thursday, 22nd May, to officially open the Woodland Pods.

What to expect
Each of the 14 Woodland Pods has been carefully curated to reflect the surrounding landscape, with names inspired by native flowers and plants. Inside, guests will find stylish, modern amenities including plush king size beds, blackout curtains, air conditioning, eco-friendly bubble spa showers, luxury toiletries, flat screen TVs, mini-fridges, tea and coffee facilities, and more. The Pods invite guests to reconnect with nature, without compromising on indulgence.
The pod collection includes eight double pods, one accessible pod, three family-friendly pods, a romantic honeymoon pod with freestanding roll top bath and a bespoke preparation pod for wedding parties.
Conveniently located just steps from The Venue, Moddershall Oaks’ renowned event space, the pods are perfectly suited for weddings, celebrations, and corporate events. Couples booking weddings at the retreat have the option to reserve the entire pod collection exclusively for their guests.
New Woodland Pod packages
Bed and Breakfast:
Each stay includes a 2pm check-in, one night in a luxurious woodland pod, a freshly cooked breakfast, discounted fitness classes (pre-booking advised), complimentary use of the onsite gym at the MADE Wellness Centre and optional spa access (subject to availability).
Prices start at £180 per night for a Double or Accessible pod, £230 per night for a Family pod, and £280 per night for a Honeymoon pod.
Spa & Slumber:
Relax and reset with a one-night stay in a woodland pod, a freshly cooked breakfast, half-day spa access (morning or afternoon), a 25-minute demi treatment, a two-course lunch, discounted fitness classes (pre-booking advised), and complimentary use of the onsite gym at the MADE Wellness Centre.
Available Monday to Wednesday from £345 per night and Thursday to Sunday from £385 per night (based on two sharing).
A Night Under The Stars:
Unwind with a one-night stay in a luxurious woodland pod with evening spa access from 5.30pm to 9pm, and an indulgent 25-minute demi treatment included. Wake up to a freshly cooked breakfast at the Oak House restaurant, to start your day in the best possible way.
Pricing starts from £330 per night Monday to Thursday and £340 per night Friday to Sunday (based on two sharing).
Family-Friendly Stays & Local Adventures
While the spa remains adult-only, for the first time, Moddershall Oaks is welcoming families with its specially designed family pods for up to four people, creating a stylish base for exploring the region. With nearby attractions including Alton Towers, Trentham Monkey Forest, World of Wedgwood and Peak Wildlife Park, the retreat now offers an ideal staycation destination for guests of all ages.
