People across Staffordshire, the Midlands and North West are expected to travel to one of the UK’s first Flip Out trampoline arenas opening in Stone this weekend.
Flip Out Stoke-on-Trent has been launched by local businessmen Matthew Melling and Elliott Shuttleworth, offering fun for all the family as well as parties and corporate events in a huge arena filled with wall to wall trampolines. It opens to the public on Saturday 19th December.
The 27,000 sq foot venue at Stone Business Park also features a trampoline basketball court, trampoline half pipe, a huge foam pit and a viewing gallery with café, with all the fun and flipping overseen by a team of just under 50 staff recruited from over 300 job applications.
Activities on offer include trampoline fitness classes, hourly sessions, children’s parties, little ninja classes and after dark sessions complete with a DJ and light show. Bookings for parties and hourly sessions can now be made online.
The new Flip Out centre in Stone is part of a growing international network already hugely popular in Australia, Mexico, Malaysia, Scandinavia and New Zealand and now coming to the UK this winter.

Co-manager Elliott Shuttleworth added: “There has already been a huge amount of interest with over 7,000 likes on our facebook page and people really keen to book birthday parties, hen parties, stag dos and corporate events, as well as people who just want to book to come down and get flipping!
“But behind the fun and the flipping fantastic environment, there are also great health benefits to trampolining – for example research carried out by NASA found that just ten minutes of bouncing on a trampoline delivered the same amount of cardiovascular benefit as over 30 minutes’ running, but with much lower impact on the joints.”
