Planning for the annual Food and Drink Festival is almost an all year round task but I always get excited when we start to put up banners and bunting. So I was delighted to see our new banners across High Street being tied in place this morning!
And it brings home to me just how our much Festival is supported by the local community. A local company,who wish to remain nameless, arranged the cherry pickers and personnel for the job of putting the banners across the street and, when we ran out of cable ties, Dave Kidd from Mountfords gave, yes gave us, a large packet to finish the job. “It’s just our way of saying ‘thank you’ Richard,” he said.
What a fantastic town we live in!
