Former Co-Op Bank to re-open as Funeralcare Home

Funeralcare interiorThe Co-op bank branch on the High Street was closed during 2015 but now the former Britannia Building Society building will be re-purposed as a Co-op Funeralcare home.

Hayley Richmond, Stone Resident and Co-op Funeralcare Manager in North Staffs, commented:

“While this is a new venture for Stone, my team and I have many years of experience in and around Stoke on Trent, helping bereaved families through one of the most difficult times in their lives.

“We’re looking forward to engaging with members of our community and intend to host community events and support local charities.”

The Co-op has more than 640,000 members across the West Midlands, and the new funeral home underlines the Co-op’s commitment to return to the heart of the communities it serves across the UK. Stone Funeralcare will shortly be open to the public, with an open day soon to be announced.
