NatWest’s mobile bank moves following the sale of the former Stone branch
Following its closure in October 2017, it seemed like the NatWest branch would head down the same route of as the former HSBC, being vacant for a prolonged period.
The branch in Stone was closed following a review by the bank of how their customers were using the counter service. Despite efforts by Stone MP Bill Cash the bank was put up for sale and a community banker, Kym Jones, was appointed to provide customers with a personal banking assistant.
As part of the community banker service, a weekly mobile bank would set up on the former bank’s car park so that customers could still access banking services. With the sale of the branch, the car park is no longer available to the bank so from Monday 26th March 2018 the mobile bank will now be situated on the Crown Hotel car park, between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm each Monday.
The bank has around 30-40 users of the mobile bank so the alternative location will ensure the customers can still carry out their banking needs.
