Two friends are taking on a 10k Wild Mud Run in April to raise money for the Alzheimer’s drop-in group in Stone.
Tom Veevers and his good friend Carl Rowley are hoping to raise hundreds of pounds by taking part in the event at Osmaston Manor in Derbyshire.
[box type=”shadow” ]Tom said: “The group is run by volunteers and solely from donations. It’s a weekly group at Christ Church Centre in Stone for Alzheimer’s patients and their carers. They can make contact with people in the same boat over a coffee, chat and lots of social activities that are arranged.
“My Nana attends the weekly group and this always brings the biggest smiles to her face. She’s known as the group’s Dancing Girl as she’s always the first one to the floor as soon as any music or song is played.”[/box]
