Full steam ahead for Amerton Railway 25th anniversary

Amerton Railway is holding a commemoration event on Saturday 23rd May to mark 25 years since the cutting of the first sod by Mike Heenan, who was Mayor of Stafford at that time.

The Railway will be running passenger and freight trains from 11.30am through to 5pm. In addition, an exhibition of Staffordshire and Uttoxeter Railway relics will be open from 11am, and there will be a book signing event taking place for ‘Staffordshire & Uttoxeter Railway’ by Mike Fell. Behind-the-scenes tours of the railway’s workshops will also be running throughout the day.
