Fun half term workshops at Rooftop Studios

Parents looking for ways to keep the kids occupied during the summer half term are in luck – with the announcement of the summer performing arts workshops at Stone’s Rooftop Studios.

Aimed at youngsters aged 3-18, this year there will be two full-week workshops and two 3-day workshops; offering flexible childcare and a chance for youngsters to hone skills in acting, singing and dance while building confidence.

Topics have been chosen to have broad appeal, and include Mamma Mia which runs from 29th July – 2nd August; Toy Story from 6th – 8th August; Mary Poppins from 12th – 16th August and Avengers vs Mermaids running from 20th – 22nd August. Sessions can be booked from as little as a single day to the full four-week course, with wraparound care available for working parents.

Studio director, Laura Keeling, explains: “Juggling family life and work can be tough – especially during half term breaks, so we aim to offer flexible childcare wrapped up in an experience the kids will absolutely love. There’s never a dull moment during our workshops and, while youngsters will have the chance to hone skills in the performing arts, the emphasis is very much on having fun and building confidence – so they’re equally suited to regular little performers and those who’ve never danced, acted or sung before.”

During sessions children will take part in a host of themed activities, with the chance to act out scenes from films alongside plenty of singing, dancing and crafting fun.

Full four-week places cost £300 with single day sessions priced at £25 – find out more at www.rooftopstudios.co.uk
