A fundraising night is being held at Al Sheikh’s restaurant on Thursday 15th November to raise money for an orphanage in Kenya.
Sarah Jones from Stone set up the Free Town Trust Fund charity in 2005 to support the Blessed Generation orphanage in Malindi, Kenya. The theme is Hollywood/Bollywood, so Sarah wants everyone looking glamorous – even the boys, she says!
The charity banquet at the Lichfield Street restaurant starts at 7pm, with an Elvis tribute act at 9pm. Tickets cost £20, with every penny going to the orphanage.
Sarah said: “The orphanage is really struggling to pay for the most basic foods at the moment such as rice and maize. They’ve recently written to me to tell me how bad things are, so I really want to try and raise as much as I can.”
