Stone Restaurant and events venue Aston Marina is living up to its reputation as a haven for ‘waterside indulgence’, with the foodie hotspot celebrating success in no less than three major awards.
Aston Marina’s No.26 Bar and Restaurant has been named a Good Food Award winner for 2020; recognising hard-working teams who strive for culinary excellence within their field. It is among just a few hundred establishments to win the sought-after award UK-wide. With nominated restaurants voted for by readers, customers and fans, the accolade means a huge amount to the team behind the eatery, which was established in 2017 to expand on the success of the marina’s popular Bistro.

And it’s not just on the national level that No.26 has won recognition – its growing reputation as one of Staffordshire’s most exciting and dynamic restaurants was cemented at the recent Enjoy Staffordshire Food & Tourism Awards, where it was named Independent Restaurant of the Year. As a major category winner, No.26 now automatically goes forward to represent Staffordshire in the national VisitEngland Awards in the New Year.
The award was presented to the management team during a glittering prize-giving ceremony, hosted at the marina’s own dedicated wedding & events venue, The Boat House – which is a major award-winner in its own right.
Having been named Bridebook’s UK Wedding Venue of the Year for 2019, The Boat House has just been nominated for two gongs in The Wedding Industry Awards 2020. Voted for by couples who have married at the venue, The Boat House has been named a regional finalist in both the Countryside Venue and Event Team categories, and will now be judged by a panel against other West Midlands venues, with the winners set to be announced at the regional awards event at Nailcote Hall in Warwickshire on Monday 18th November.
