Good luck to Stone’s Olympic hopefuls!

Fingers crossed for four canoeists from Stafford and Stone Canoe Club who are all paddling for a place at London 2012 this weekend.

Joe Clarke, Adam Burgess, Lizzie Neave and Mark Proctor are all taking part in the Olympic selection event at the London 2012 course at Lee Valley White Water Centre in Hertfordshire on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (13th to 15th April).

There will be three races, with the two best results counting, and only one athlete per class will qualify for the Games.

All four slalom canoeists are members of Stafford and Stone Canoe Club, based on Westbridge Park in the town.
