Gourmet Valentines at Aston Marina

Stone’s Aston Marina has created a true food lovers’ Valentine’s menu at its No.26 eatery, so couples will be able to celebrate their passion this Valentine’s Day.

The special menu will offer the option of either a five course ‘choosing’ menu – where each partner can select from a range of delicious dishes – or opt for a set sharing menu, available only on the evening of Wednesday 14th February.

The choosing menu option will see diners enjoy a Kir Royale welcome drink and Amuse Bouche before selecting from three starters – roast red pepper soup, Confit Chinese five spiced Gressingham duck leg or garlic & chilli spiced king prawns. Three choices also feature for the main course – this time roast honey glazed guinea fowl, a trio of fresh fish or butternut squash ravioli, followed by a palate-cleansing sorbet before dessert with options including Mille Feuille, rich dark chocolate & hazelnut ganache, warm sticky toffee pudding or a selection of award-winning cheeses.

The sharing menu also sees diners enjoy a Kir Royale welcome drink and Amuse Bouche before an indulgent baked camembert starter served with Parma ham, chorizo, pancetta, Kalamata olives, artisan bread and sun blushed tomatoes. The main event will be a show-stopping ‘Chateaubriand Rossini’ 35 day dry-aged Aberdeen Angus fillet steak accompanied by chicken and mushroom paté, sautéed potatoes and shallots, wilted spinach, Madeira jus and game chips. A sorbet will then be served ahead of an assiette of delicious desserts.

Director Helen Webb says: “We wanted to really push the boat out with the menu this Valentine’s day and our chefs have done us proud. This is a menu for serious food lovers served in an informal, relaxed environment – the perfect recipe for romance!”

The Valentine’s menu at No.26 is priced at £45.00 per head for the ‘choosing’ option and £50.00 per head for the ‘sharing’ option. Reservations essential – call 01785 819702 or email info@astonmarina.co.uk to secure your table.
