Great win for Moddershall ladies

Moddershall Ladies Cricket

An excellent team performance by Moddershall Cricket Club ladies helped them to a comprehensive home win over Astwood Bank.

Astwood were soon regretting deciding to bat as quality bowling by Sara Dimmock (1-11) and Bethany McGowan (3-9) reduced them to 24-4 off 13 overs. Dimmock clean bowled opener Boycott in the first over. McGowan soon joined in bowling two and having another well caught by Amy Bridgett at slip.

Astwood fought back with Amy Capwell hitting 40, before Bridgett had her lbw. Good catching then supported the other bowlers to clean up the lower order.
