Griffins of Stone scooped 2 awards in The Great British Banger – National Sausage Week Awards which was judged at Harper Adams University in Shropshire.

Each class has around 600 entrants and for the classes that Griffins entered they achieved 2 silver awards.
The first class was “Best Traditional Sausage” where they entered their traditional sausage which they named “As it should be” for the competition. These traditional pork sausages are handmade using the finest local pork, natural hog casings and natural seasoning’s which produce the perfect flavour and texture for our traditional pork sausage.
The traditional sausage is a good all-rounder, suitable for breakfast, toad in the hole, bangers and mash etc.
The second class was “Best Innovative Sausage” and Griffins pulled out their Buenos Aires Banger to spice things up.
This Argentinian inspired banger contains chilli, paprika, garlic and peppers along with the finest local pork and natural hog casings.
Buenos Aires Bangers are ideal for the sausage lovers who like a bit of extra heat – good in chilli, casseroles etc – warming you up now the cold nights are here.
The judging took place in the middle of September with the results being announced earlier this month.
If you want to see the awards or try these award winning sausages then head through Adies Alley and pop in to see Nick and his team.
This was the first time that Griffins had entered this competition and they are planning on entering their sausages and bacon into the English Winter Fair at the County Showground where last year we won a bronze award for their beef and mustard sausages.
