Community groups, charities and local businesses got some top tips for using Twitter, Facebook, blogs and more at Stone’s first social media surgery on Monday 15th November.
The event was held at the Royal Exchange pub in Radford Street and saw advisors, or surgeons, helping people from voluntary and community groups, or patients, to use social media tools to help their organisation, group or business to use social media to communicate effectively.
Representatives from groups including Stone Lions and local businesses like Yarn Gathering in Radford Street met with surgeons in a very informal setting.
The surgeries are set to be a regular event in Stone, with monthly meetings planned after Christmas.

Thank you so much for organizing last night’s surgery. We learned so much from it and are both looking forward to putting it all into practice. Will certainly be interested in attending another!

Hi Chris – really pleased that you got a lot out of the surgery. I’ll definitely be organising regular events after Christmas, every other month I think, and it would be brilliant to see you there!
