Half-term bowls course for youngsters

Stafford Borough Council’s Get Out! activity programme will be running in Stone for the May bank holiday (28th – 31st May).

There will be an introduction to crown green bowls at Little Stoke Bowls Club, with a three-day course on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for eight to 14-year-olds. Youngsters can learn the skills and techniques of bowls from qualified instructors. The three-day course costs £12.

At Alleyne’s Sports Centre, meanwhile, there will be a Footie Fest, Tri-Active and swimming pool activities including the Double Trouble giant inflatable obstacle course, snorkelling, fun float sessions, swimming lessons and free swimming for 15-year-olds and under.
