Half-term fun at Alleyne’s Sports Centre

Children can get in a spin at Alleyne's Sports Centre!

Children can enjoy a wide range of fun activities at Alleyne’s Sports Centre this February half-term (Monday 21st  to Friday 25th February) with Stafford Borough Council’s Get Out! programme.

Youngsters can enjoy swimming, sports, games and Wii challenges with full or half-day Active-8 sessions at Alleyne’s Sports Centre off Oulton Road, or have a go at walking on water in a giant hamster ball with the latest craze to hit the pool, Water Walkerz (as featured on Blue Peter, visit www.waterwalkerz.com).

Free swimming for children 16 years and under is also available from Monday to Friday Alleyne’s between 10am and noon, as well as at Stafford Leisure Centre (11am to noon and 3pm to 4pm).

There are tennis, football and disability golf coaching sessions and a new all-day ‘Sports Of All Sorts’ club at Stafford Leisure Centre, delivered by top quality coaches from the Sports Development team. Stafford Leisure Centre has a range of activities with sessions in gymnastics, trampoline, swimming, badminton and table tennis plus exciting games in the new fully interactive H-Zone.

There will be heritage activities at Stafford Castle including a wildlife watch, treasure quest, heraldry and games galore.

The holiday activities are aimed at children between five and 16. Pre-booking and parental consent is required for most of the activities.
