An action-packed half term is on the cards for young people in Stone and across the borough.
The ‘Step Into February Half Term’ programme, run by Stafford Borough Council, features a variety of activities taking place over the week for five to 13-year-olds – including the popular Multi Mix sessions at Alleyne’s Sports Centre.
Youngsters will be able to take part in a range of sports, such as old favourites football and dodgeball, alongside activities including zorb football and an outdoor adventure day at Shugborough for eight to 13-year-olds.

The Multi Mix sessions at Alleyne’s Sports Centre allow children to taste a range of sports over one day, and there are also learn-to-ride cycling sessions and a free disability football/cricket session.

Councillor Mike Smith, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “Judging by the numbers who take part, and the feedback we get from parents and participants, these sessions we put on through the school holidays are really popular. The health and wellbeing of our borough is one of the Council’s top priorities and there is so much to keep children active during the half term week – so there is no excuse to be bored while the schools are closed.”
