Stone Little Theatre will be presenting their New Year pantomime Jack And The Beanstalk at Walton Priory Middle School from Wednesday 23rd to Saturday 26th February.
Following the closure of the Bibby Sports & Social Club in March 2009, the future of the theatre group looked uncertain but Walton Priory Middle School came to the rescue and the group’s 31st annual pantomime, Aladdin, was staged there in February last year.
Stone Little Theatre co-founder and director Chris Bell said: “We’re so lucky to have both a new home (rehearsals now take place at Stone Cricket Club) and a new performance venue. Despite all our efforts to keep the Bibby Club open, its demise was sadly inevitable and we thought at that time that it would also be the end of Stone Little Theatre. Now we have a new lease of life which is great news, especially for our younger members for whom we can now continue to build a legacy for the future.”
Tickets (£6.25 to £7.75) can be booked online or by calling the 24-hour hotline 07950 212365. Stone Little Theatre also plans to operate a bar before, during the interval and after each performance.
