Halloween fun at Aston Marina craft fair

Face painting

Aston Marina held its monthly craft fair on Saturday 30th October – with a special Halloween theme.

Hundreds of visitors had a look at the art and crafts of around 15 traders, many from Stone. Volunteers from the British Wildlife Rescue Centre, based at Amerton Farm, had brought along some suitably spooky creatures, including tarantulas, snakes and some owls.

Youngsters could have their faces painted and, in the farm shop, was a great trick-or-treat coffin!

Stone farmers’ market favourites The Three Fairies took over one of the marina’s cedar huts with their quirky hand-made decorations and characters. Tim Burton would have been proud of their clay and pipe-cleaner pumpkin men! And the three fairies – as they always are – were certainly dressed for the occasion.

Stone’s wonderfully named Caramel Ocean were also at the craft fair to showcase their eclectic range of handmade cards and crafts. Click here to see their website.
