Handbag stolen in Morrisons supermarket

A 61-year-old woman had her handbag containing her diabetes kit stolen in Morrisons this afternoon.

The bag was stolen while she was shopping in the store at about 2.50pm on Wednesday 11th September.

It is described as a brown crocodile-skin carry bag and it contained cash, bank cards, cheque book, a driving licence, a white Blackberry mobile phone, a diabetes kit (including insulin) and a small gold heart-shaped box, which is said to be of great sentimental value.

Anyone with information on the theft, or the whereabouts of the above property, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 372 of September 11. Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
