Headspace FC runs friendly football games for adults every Wednesday, with support from Stone’s men’s mental health group Man Time and backing from ex-pros Chris Birchall and Dave Hibbert.

A weekly kickabout is giving local adults the chance to get active, meet new people, and look after their mental health, all with no commitment and no pressure.

Headspace FC is open to men and women aged 18 and over, offering casual football sessions every Wednesday from 8:00pm to 9:00pm at Longton Rugby Club. Whether you are a seasoned player or completely new to the game, everyone is welcome.

The group’s focus is on inclusion and wellbeing, creating a relaxed space where people can enjoy the benefits of exercise and connection without the need for leagues, sign-ups, or expectations. It is all about turning up, kicking a ball about, and having a laugh.

Supporting the sessions is Man Time, the Stone-based men’s mental health group that has become a valuable lifeline for many across the area. Together, the two groups are using sport as a way to support mental health, encourage honest conversation, and break down isolation.

Headspace FC has also gained the support of two former professional footballers, Chris Birchall and Dave Hibbert, who have come on board as ambassadors. Both bring experience, encouragement, and visibility to the group’s growing community.

If you are looking for a midweek boost, a chance to meet people, or simply want to dust off your boots, Headspace FC might be just the thing.

You can follow the group and get involved via their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/share/16DdRThR4z/?mibextid=wwXIfr
