Over 100 people are expected to attend the premiere of Stone band heathenBABY’s new film on Monday 8th July at The Swan Inn.
HeathenBABY’s music has been influenced by the singer’s personal life from early childhood and leaving school with no qualifications through to fatherhood and achieving a university degree in fine art.
And film and video has always played a major part in the history of the band. Being self-funded, heathenBABY has relied on businesses and residents in Stone – many of whom appear in the films!
HeathenBABY said: “Being a local artist it’s important to me to use Stone and its people as the backdrop to my stories. As with all the locals, I have memories on every corner… good and bad. The Swan Inn has been a bedrock in my films so it feels fitting for it to house the event. Though my work may sometimes be lyrically explicit it is not meant to offend. It is a reflection of street life, with a working class surreality.”
Starting at 8pm and running until 10pm, the premiere will be split into three films, two of which can already be viewed on youtube and is a free-entry event. You can also follow heathenBABY on facebook.
