A heritage walk takes place in Stone on Thursday 9th May as part of the 2013 Stafford Borough Walking Festival.
Dr John Wilcock, a well-known lecturer in local history and archaeology, will lead a four-mile walk around the canal, railway, streets and buildings of Stone. The walk should take about two hours and there should be time for a visit to a local hostelry for those who are interested at the end of the walk! Notes about the walk and local history will be available afterwards!
The walk is free but is sure to be popular so please call 01785 619387 to book. Anyone who wants to go along must book a place!
Meet at the canoe club car park on Westbridge Park at 6.30pm if you’re going along.
