On Tuesday when the country was smashing out temperature records, Stone played host to the Queen’s Baton as it came to the town as part of the Commonwealth Game’s relay route. A massive well done to the 7 baton bearers who took the baton around the town.

I was unable to go into Stone to see the Queens baton through our town so to see all these pictures was so lovely as I found it very disappointing that we only had a short clip on the local news. What a memorable moment for all those who took part in the ceremony everyone appeared to have a great time despite the hot weather.
