Seventy-five pupils Year 4 from St. Michael’s First School held a Kenyan Day last Friday for friends, family and the younger pupils.
For the past 6 weeks, Year 4 have been learning about Kenya as a country, but also the way of life, and they were keen to show off their understands to their younger peers.
The pupils decided what stalls they wanted and what they wanted to demonstrate, ranging from making bracelets, masks and even Kenyan curry, to dotty art, drumming and showing where Kenya is on a map.
After the half-term break, the Year 4 students will move onto another topic that will gear them up ready for Middle School where they will explore the same topic in more detail.
