The fire at Mount Road industrial estate on Wednesday was started deliberately, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed.
The incident involved a camper van, a light goods vehicle and a skip of rubbish before spreading to three heavy goods vehicles. Thankfully, gas bottles near to the blaze were moved, ensuring that it wasn’t even more serious.
Crews from Stone, Newcastle and Longton attended just after 4pm on Wednesday 25th May, with the last crew not leaving the scene until after 9pm.
A fire service spokesman told us today: “This has been classed as deliberate ignition.”
