Inquest opened into Tim’s death

Tim collapsed on Morrisons' car park

An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of Stone student Tim Perry.

The 19-year-old from Church Street died on Saturday 22nd January after he collapsed in Morrisons’ car park on his way to work at the Co-op in the High Street.

Coroner Ian Smith opened the inquest at North Staffordshire Coroner’s Court in Hartshill so the body could be released to the family for the funeral.

The cause of death has yet to be discovered. Staffordshire Police is treating the death as unexplained and is asking for witnesses to come forward by calling 0300 1234455.

Tim’s funeral is due to be held this week at St Michael’s Church, followed by burial at Stone Cemetery. His family have requested no flowers but donations can be made in aid of Help for Heroes. All enquiries to Price and Stubbs on 01785 812556.
