It seems that only mugs made here in Stone will do for TV presenter Davina McCall.
The former Big Brother presenter and host of Channel 4’s The Jump posted a photograph on social media on Sunday enjoying a brew during Jump rehearsals in Austria – in a Dunoon mug.

The Jump follows celebrities as they try to master various winter sports including skeleton, bobsleigh, speed skating, ski cross and giant slalom. So regular cups of tea are vital for presenter Davina to keep warm and refreshed!
Dunoon’s range of mug, cups, teapots and saucers are made from their factory on Stone Business Park. The one Davina has above is called ‘Blobs!’ from the Cairngorm range.
Dunoon uses slip casting instead of the more conventional machine-made technique employed by other mug manufacturers to guarantee a fine, lightweight mug. The company works with numerous designers and artists to constantly update its ranges with new designs and unique mug shapes, and prides itself on its striking and unusual designs.
Davina McCall is a huge fan of Dunoon mugs – so much so she says she’s “obsessed”!

[box type=”shadow” ]Nicky Smith, Dunoon’s Stone shop manager, told us this morning: “We didn’t know that Davina was such a fan of our mugs and it was a lovely surprise to see the photo last night. She’s our first celebrity fan as far as we’re aware. We’ll sometimes see our mugs on TV, but we’ve never had a celebrity endorsement like this. It’s brilliant!
“The Blobs design was introduced last year. We launch new collections every 12 months, with about a third of the catalogue changing. We have an in-house design team here in Stone, and we use freelance designers too, so we’re always creating new designs and ideas. It’s vital that we do this.”[/box]
The first Dunoon factory was opened in Argyll, Scotland, in 1974, with the Stone factory opening in 1982. Production was consolidated to Stone, and there’s the shop on Stone High Street too, which Davina is always welcome to visit!
