About the Company

We representing a  leading engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of pumping systems and industrial automation solutions. Our systems are used across sectors including water treatment, manufacturing, utilities, and industrial processing. We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled Control Design Engineer to develop and implement innovative control systems.

 

The Role

As a Control Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and commissioning control systems for pump stations and automated equipment. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient automation solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical and control systems for pumps and automation equipment
Produce electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
Select and configure VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), PLC controllers, and HMIs for system automation
Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs to control pump and process systems
Support the commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems on-site and in-house
Work with project teams to ensure systems meet customer specifications and industry standards
Prepare technical documentation, including control philosophies, I/O lists, and user manuals

 

Requirements

Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or Automation
Strong knowledge and experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar)
Experience configuring and programming VSDs and HMIs
Skilled in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)
Understanding of industrial automation, control panels, and motor control
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

 

Desirable Skills

Experience in pumping systems, water/wastewater applications, or industrial automation
Knowledge of SCADA systems
Experience in site commissioning and client support
