Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents’ comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support individuals with mobility and daily activities according to personalised care plans
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
Supporting with meals and drinks as required
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
Requirements
Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Valid driving licence is advantageous
Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Basic IT skills for recording information electronically
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if required
