The Labour Party has selected its candidate for the Stone constituency for the 2015 General Election.
Cheadle resident Sam Hale will be running for Parliament for Labour for the Stone seat, which is the largest in Staffordshire and also covers Cheadle, Tean and Forsbrook in the Staffordshire Moorlands, Eccleshall, Gnosall and Blythe Bridge in Stafford Borough, and Madeley and Loggerheads in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Sam Hale said “I’m delighted that the members of Stone Labour Party have put their trust in me to fight the next General Election. I look forward to working with local residents from all across the constituency to tackle the cuts to local services we are seeing.
“I have no doubt that this is going to be a tough fight, but we are building a solid team of local supporters and volunteers throughout the constituency”.
A former member of the UK Youth Parliament, Sam has played an active role in community life, receiving the Princess Diana Memorial Award for his service to the community.
The Stone seat is held by recently knighted Conservative Sir Bill Cash.
