Families in Stone are set to say goodbye to Little Dots’ play cafe later this month, after the business announced it is closing that part of its operation.
The update was shared on Little Dots’ social media this week, with owner Sam Rowley-Corns saying the decision had been made after two years in Stone.
Last dates confirmed for cafe and shop
In the post, Little Dots said the play cafe will close on Thursday 26 March 2026, with the shop following two days later on Saturday 28 March 2026.
The business described it as a difficult decision and thanked local families for their support over the past two years.
Little Dots has become a familiar spot for parents, carers and young children in Stone, offering a place for play, coffee and browsing, all under one roof. For plenty of families, it has been one of those local places tied up with early milestones, rainy mornings and meet-ups that turned into routines.
In its message, the business said it had “met so many amazing families” and shared “countless milestones and magical moments” during its time in the town.
Sam Rowley-Corns also said the decision was partly driven by a wish to spend more time with daughter Lottie before she starts school.
That gives the closure a personal note, and probably one many parents will understand.
Shop set to continue in a new location
While the cafe is closing for good, Little Dots says the wider business is not ending.
Instead, the shop is set to move to a new location, with further details expected to be shared on social media soon.
That means this is not a full closure, but more of a shift in focus. The cafe side of the business is ending, while the retail side will continue elsewhere.
For customers in Stone, it marks the end of one version of Little Dots, but not the end of the name itself.
The post said, “Little Dots isn’t going anywhere, we’re just beginning a brand new chapter.”
Final chance for customers to visit
Little Dots said it would love customers to “share one last latte” before the cafe closes.
The final day for the play cafe is Thursday 26 March 2026, with the shop remaining open until Saturday 28 March 2026.
