Stone’s Little Stoke Cricket Club is hosting an open evening for women and girls on Friday 6th May, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm – New players are welcome and no experience is necessary!

Would you like to learn a new skill while having fun with other women or girls in a sociable, outdoor setting?
If so, come along to our free Open Evening for a taster softball cricket session from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Friday 6th May, at Little Stoke Cricket Club on the edge of Stone at Uttoxeter Road, Little Stoke, ST15 8RA.
This event is open to all girls and women from age 8 and above. All you need to bring is yourself!
You will have the chance to have a go at batting, bowling and fielding with our qualified coaches. All participants will be offered a free glass of Prosecco or a soft drink at the end. We believe you will enjoy it and come back for more training at our Friday evening female-only training sessions.
There will also be food available, music and our bar will be open all evening for family members. To register or for further information about the Open Evening please contact Lesley on 07971 247419, or just turn up on the evening.
During the coming season, we shall be offering training to different groups. For girls aged 8 to 11, we offer Dynamos, which is a great introduction to softball cricket. For older girls, we progress slowly from softball to hardball, and for women, there is the chance to join our softball squad. There is also the opportunity to join in Staffordshire girls and women’s softball festivals and play matches in Little Stoke’s different teams. We have a girls team, called the Wildcats, who really enjoy playing together, whether they win or lose. We have also started playing Women’s hardball cricket, and welcome those who would like to give this a go.
Other cricket
At Little Stoke, we also have junior boys and men’s senior cricket. We offer All Stars for children age 5 to 8, junior coaching every Thursday evening from 6.30 to 8pm, and senior coaching every Tuesday evening from 6pm. We have 9 junior teams and 6 senior teams playing matches this season. New members are also welcome.
