Local police officers to hold High Street community engagement event in Stone

UK PoliceStaffordshire Police Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team (NPT) are holding a community engagement event later this month in Stone.

The Local Area Commander, Giles Parsons, will be present alongside local officers on Stone High Street, near to the library, in order to discuss community concerns and engage with the public on a face-to-face basis. The policing team will be present at the location from 6pm till 8pm on Wednesday 25 May.

The last such event was in October 2021 when the public raised issues around drug use and dealing, vandalism and motorists illegally using the High Street.

Chief Inspector Parsons told A Little Bit of Stone:

“This is a great opportunity for local residents and business owners to interact with officers directly.

“The NPT will be providing high visibility across a key community hotspot – giving the public a chance to share any concerns and receive specific crime prevention advice.

“Some of these concerns will require a collaborative response with our local authority partners who we continue to work closely with.

“We are committed to these engagement events and we hope to continue to interact with our local communities and action these concerns and queries on a face-to-face and personal basis.”
