Local policing team publish a flurry of smart alerts this week

Local Policing TeamStone’s local policing team has been very busy publishing updates on the Staffordshire Smart Alert System in the past week. From anti-social behaviour, a found bike to an update on a couple accused of trying to lure away swans.

Here are the published reports:

An update on a couple who have been reported for trying to lure swans away from the canal.

PCSO Sarah Fordham writes:

“We have received a number of reports regarding a couple, mainly in the Barlaston area, trying to capture swans and take them away.

The Police have been called out on numerous occasions now and at this time the couple have not been found to be doing anything wrong. They have been spoken to by Police on multiple occasions and they have only ever had swan food on them and state they are feeding the swans to help them through the winter.

At this time there is nothing to suggest that they have or are trying to take any of the swans away.

Please can people pass this on to other residents to ensure there is no animosity towards this couple.”

In response to a burglary in the town PCSO Sarah Fordham writes:
