Long service medals for Stone fire station managers

The station manager and watch manager from Stone fire station have received an award for their long service and impeccable conduct.

Station manager David Steele and watch manager Mike Burnside were among a number of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service personnel who received Long Service Awards and good conduct medals earlier this month.

Lord Lieutenant Colonel Michael Beatty presented the medals in a ceremony at fire service HQ in Stone, with the vice chairman of the Fire and Rescue Authority Cllr Lee Wanger presenting the certificates.

The Long Service and Good Conduct Medal is awarded to members of the Service who have completed 20 years’ operational service and have demonstrated their good conduct, loyalty and devotion to duty. Recipients from across the county who received a medal and certificate were:
