Lots of fun activities for May half term

May half term is fast approaching, and there are plenty of events being organised to keep Stafford Borough’s youngsters busy.

Stafford Borough Council’s Step Into May Half Term programme features a variety of sports and activities to suit all ages in Stone and across the borough.

The programme includes the popular Multi Mix sessions, allowing children to try their hand at a range of sports over the course of one day, as well as Footie Fest and Dodgeball competitions.

Children will also have the opportunity to take on a variety of games and challenges at It’s A Team Game – activities include basketball, capture the flag, benchball and tag rugby. There is also a free disability football/cricket session.

[box type=”shadow” align=”aligncenter” ]Councillor Mike Smith, Cabinet Member for Leisure at Stafford Borough Council, said:  “These sessions happen every school holiday and are really popular. There is another busy programme coming up, with plenty to appeal to youngsters of all ages. The health and wellbeing of our borough is one of the Council’s top priorities and this is a great way to keep children active this Spring.” [/box]

The ‘Step Into’ scheme runs from Tuesday 31st May to Friday 3rd June.
