Lymestone Brewery celebrates 17 years with birthday bash and fundraiser

Lymestone Brewery is set to mark its 17th birthday with a big community party on Friday, 5th September 2025. The Mount Road brewery, well known for its beers and its pub The Borehole just across the road, is inviting friends old and new to join them for a night of food, music and fundraising.

Food, beer and live entertainment

The evening gets underway from 7:00 pm with plenty of Lymestone’s award-winning ales on tap. Guests can enjoy a hog roast from Lee Walker, before the party atmosphere builds with an Oompah band from 8:15 pm.

Tickets are £10 each, and for every ticket sold £1 will be donated to help one-year-old Theo from Market Drayton, who is living with spinal muscular atrophy.

Theo’s story

Theo arrived in July 2024, and just days later, doctors gave his parents, Laura and Simon, news no family wants to hear. He had spinal muscular atrophy type 1, a rare condition that leaves muscles too weak for even the simplest of movements. They were told he might not reach his first birthday.

Earlier this year, Theo received a groundbreaking gene therapy that gave him new hope. It has not been a cure, and he still needs round-the-clock support, including physiotherapy, speech and language sessions, and specialist equipment to help with breathing and mobility. His family are raising money with Just4Children to make sure he has the care he needs as he grows.

This birthday party is about marking that success while also giving Theo’s family a lift at a difficult time.
