Lymestone Brewery tour for Alice Charity

Real ale lovers are invited to take a tour of Stone’s Lymestone Brewery in June to raise money for the Silverdale-based Alice Charity.

The brewery tour, which will take place on Friday, June 27 from 8pm to 10pm, has been organised by the charity to celebrate Father’s Day and tickets will cost £13 each, including food and drink.

The independent brewery is owned by Ian ‘Brad’ Bradford and wife Viv. Brewer Brad said: “It should be a great night and visitors will get an entertaining and informative behind-the-scenes tour of our thriving micro-brewery.

“Everyone will get the chance to try several different types of Lymestone beer and also tuck into a steak and ale stew, or a meat-free option for the veggies.”

The brewery tour is just one of the many events which the charity has organised this year to raise the money needed to cope with the increasing number of referrals from vulnerable families in both Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle.

Fundraising and marketing manager Becky Fairclough commented: “We had a fantastic response to the Mother’s Day prize draw, which we put on in March, but we didn’t want the dads to feel left out, so we thought the brewery tour would make the perfect Father’s Day present.”

The money raised from the tour will be used by the charity to help support those families across Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle who are in desperate need of support.

Brad added: “We love putting on events like this for local charities and community groups. It’s a great way of helping raise money for Alice Charity and it also helps to strengthen our business by building stronger ties with the local community.”

Tickets for the Lymestone Brewery tour need to be booked and paid for in advance, those interested should call Becky Fairclough on 01782 627017 or email becky@alicecharity.com
